Ordering and Estimates

How to Create an Estimate

  1. From the product page, select your color and enter your quantity for each size then click "Validate."
  2. Click the "Continue to Shopping Bag" button or the "Continue to Add Logo" button to personalize (if available). Choose up to two logo placements and upload or apply a logo file. Click the "Continue to Shopping Bag" button. To order another color of the same item click the image of the product in the shopping bag and repeat steps. To order additional items click the "Continue Shopping" button at the bottom left of the shopping bag.
  3. Choose the orange "Create Estimate" button at the bottom of the cart.
  4. Fill in your information, accept terms and submit. If you would like L.L.Bean Direct to Business to follow up with your estimate, check the appropriate box.

An email with your estimate will be sent to you. Please note Shipping and taxes will not be calculated for your estimate. For further assistance with your estimate, please call one of our account representatives at 800-554-4071.

If you want to save your selections for the future, please register or log in. Items not added to your Shopping Bag will be lost once you leave the product page.

How to Order

Ordering is easy on L.L.Bean's Direct to Business Web site.

  1. From the product page, choose a color by clicking on a color swatch.
  2. In the grid below, choose sizes and quantities and click "Validate."
  3. Repeat for additional colors of the same product then click the "Continue to Add Logo" button – see Logo Information.
  4. When you are done shopping or adding your logo, click the "Continue to Shopping Bag" button to review your order in the Shopping Bag.
  5. Click the "Continue to Checkout" button to complete your order.
  6. Once you have placed your order an automated email confirmation will be sent to you and your order will be saved to your account under My Account, My Web Orders.

Processing Times

For embroidery orders, payment must be received to begin order. Repeat orders (logo previously established) will ship in eight business days. New orders will ship in 16 business days. For an additional charge, you may request a rush option by calling one of our account representatives at 800-554-4071.

For other services (monogramming, engraving, screen printing), please call for an estimate.

Email and Fax Orders

We designed our site's ordering system to protect the security of your personal information, including your credit card number. Since ordinary email is not secure in the same way, please do not include your credit card information in any email orders you send us.

Logos and Personalization Information

How to Add Your Logo

  1. After you have selected your item, colors, sizes, and quantities from each product page, click the "Continue to Add Logo" button.
  2. Under "Select a Logo Placement," check where you want your logo to appear on your item.
  3. Choose to upload your logo or select from a saved logo.
  4. Click the "Continue to Shopping Bag" to continue to shop, to create an estimate or to proceed to checkout.

Please note If we have your logo on file we will deduct the logo setup fee. In order to save your logo to your account you should upload it.

Logo Colors

To ensure that the colors in your logo will come out exactly as you want them, provide us with the Pantone®/PMS color values.

As part of your logo setup, we'll send you a sewn sample of your logo for approval. To ensure that the representation and color are correct, the sample fabric will be similar to the fabric of the product you're ordering.

Logo File Formats

If we have your logo on file, we will deduct the logo setup fee. In order to save your logo to your account, you should upload it. We can accept a logo file up to 2 mb. We prefer vector artwork in EPS, TIF, JPG or PDF format. We will also accept logo files in the following formats: GIF, BMP, PNG, PSD. Please only send us logos you have the legal right to use. Once your order is complete, your uploaded logo will be saved for use on future orders.

Lead Times

First-time orders usually have two stages: setting up the logo and then applying the logo to merchandise. Logo setup usually takes about a week; logo application and order processing takes about two weeks. Repeat orders are generally shipped in eight business days.

Personalization Options

You'll make a great impression with your company's logo on L.L.Bean products. Custom embroidery, available online, is our most popular type of personalization. Monogramming, engraving and screen printing are available by phone order only.

Embroidery

Our advanced digital equipment lets us combine the precision of computer scanning with the seasoned skill of our expert needleworkers. With each step, we take the time to provide you with the quality you expect from L.L.Bean.

You may use up to nine colors of thread, which we can help you choose. You can also reference Pantone/PMS colors.

To order embroidery using our online system, first choose your item, then either upload a new logo or log in to choose from a saved logo. As part of the order process, we'll send an electronic file of your logo, followed by a sewn sample for your approval. To ensure that the representation and color are correct, the sample fabric will be similar to the fabric of the product you're ordering.

Please note that most embroidered logos require fewer than 10,000 stitches.

We offer several styles of monogramming for displaying a name or initials. Choose from the styles shown below. Maximum 10 characters per line.

Volume Discounts

We offer volume discounts of 10% to 20% for merchandise and gift cards.

When you shop online, your discount is calculated automatically and reflected in your Shopping Bag. Please note Merchandise discounts apply to volume orders of the same item shipped to the same address.

Shipping and Handling

The shipping and handling charge depends on the destination and the value of your order. Please refer to our shipping chart. A shipping and handling charge equal to 2.5% of the gross merchandise total will be added to orders over $500. Our minimum shipping and handling charge is $4.95.

Gift cards are shipped to a single address free of charge. There is a handling fee of $3.50 each for gift cards sent to individual recipients.

Express Delivery is also available upon request. Some orders containing products with large dimensions may be assessed an additional shipping fee based on destination. Please call us to discuss your needs.

Credit Card Charges

Your credit card will not be charged (and inventory will not be reserved) until your order has been verified and the logo process has begun (if applicable). If your order contains backordered items, the backordered portion will not be charged to your account until the item(s) becomes available. There are some exceptions with orders that contain items requiring freight delivery or that are sent directly from our vendors.

L.L.Bean® Visa® Benefits

Direct to Business orders are not eligible for L.L.Bean® Visa® card benefits such as free return shipping and monogramming. However, as with any other purchases on the card, you will earn coupons for L.L.Bean merchandise.

Purchase Orders

We accept purchase orders for orders totaling over $750. Credit must be approved at the time of your order if L.L.Bean has not previously billed you. We will not hold inventory during the credit approval process, which may take up to two days. Links to download the forms are available when you choose Purchase Order as your payment option. Your order must meet the minimum total in order for the option to be available online.

Returns and Exchanges

At L.L.Bean, your satisfaction in our products is always guaranteed. If for whatever reason you are not satisfied with any of the goods, you may return them to L.L.Bean for replacement, the provision of other goods, or refund of the purchase price. L.L.Bean will have no responsibility to any person to whom the buyer transfers the goods.
